History and the present

Establishment of Syntactic Sugar is closely related to its owner, Mr. Tomáš Holub whose business activities preceded the formation of the company. The first major project is a cooperation with an american company Owen Software on a software application Pathevo. Project began in 1999 . Owen Software has become one of our main partners with whom we cooperate till now.

In 2004 we started several new projects in bespoke software development field which moved the company one step ahead. Our team was growing and other project teams were being formed. After winning other projects both in the USA and the Czech Republic but also Austria and Germany is neccessary again to extend a range of our colleagues. In 2006 was formed Syntactic Sugar Limited and the company moved to bigger and more representative offices in the historic centre of Plzeň.

To provide comprehensive services to our existing customers and also to address new groups of customers, in 2008 we created Web and graphic studio Slušný web (www.slusnyweb.cz). Slušný web specializes in creating web presentations, e-shops and e-marketing in general. The next logical step was a cooperation with Young Brains Ltd. And establishment of a common company YBhosting Ltd. (www.ybhosting.cz) that specialize in webhosting.

Another significant milestone in a history of Syntactic Sugar was the expansion of our team by netechnical positions and specialists from different fields than ICT. People that specialize in marketing, internet advertising, human resources, etc. At the end of 2008 the company moved to bigger and modern offices in Plovarni Street in Plzen. Every year of operation on the IT market means a steady growth for Syntactic Sugar. We gained new long term partners and customers, widen our know-how and improve the efficiency and functioning of our internal processes necessary to ensure quality services to our customers.
